The volume originates from the project L’età dell’oro (la muta), which was awarded the PAC 2020 – Plan for Contemporary Art by the General Directorate for Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Culture. This work has been permanently acquired by the National Archaeological Museum of Taranto (MArTA), where it now forms part of the museum's permanent collection, further enriching its artistic and cultural heritage.
The volume, published by Magonza and edited by Eva Degl’Innocenti and Lorenzo Madaro, is structured in two distinct sections. The first examines the exhibition L’età dell’oro (la muta), held at the National Archaeological Museum of Taranto – MArTA from April 8, 2022, to January 8, 2023. This section offers a critical reinterpretation of the symbolic confluence of ancient and contemporary elements, centered on the motif of snake exuviae, interpreted as emblems of change, transformation, and the inevitability of the life cycle.
The second section presents an anthological selection of the artist’s work, spanning the period from 2013 to 2023. The catalog features critical texts by the project’s curators, Eva Degl’Innocenti and Lorenzo Madaro, as well as by Marco Pierini, Alessandra Troncone, and Cesare Biasini Selvaggi. It is completed by an interview with the artist conducted by Lorenzo Madaro, offering additional insights into the creative process.
Special thanks to Atlante Servizi per l'Arte, Elfi Electronics, and Giorgio Tesi Group for their help and support during the various stages of the project.
